Three surprisingly interesting little pieces of randomness of if I may say so myself

Posted by Adrenalynn on september 6, 2010

1. Do you remember the parking lot photo (hint: look at the number 6)?

Well, they fixed it! I can only assume that this is a direct result of my previous post. Here’s the result:

2. Today as I was driving home I saw a young woman in a beautiful white dress running along the sidewalk in the middle of nowhere. Barefoot. I had barely parked my car at home when I saw a man run across the road to the bus stop carrying a full glass of water. I don’t even know.

3. I cut my hair. Before you ask: yes, that is another bathroom photo.

That is all.

Stuff I found in my washing machine yesterday

Posted by Adrenalynn on september 3, 2010

My son is a collector. Yes, I know all kids put stuff in their pockets, but mine borders on klepto. Mostly I accidentally discover what he’s had in his pockets that day when I pick up his pants and find my floor suddenly covered in four handfuls of sand, nails, rocks, or all of the above, but other times I find stuff like this in the washing machine after I’ve spent the evening listening to a slightly noisier spin cycle:

No, not all of those are ours. I don’t even know.

Forget what I said last week.

Posted by Adrenalynn on august 25, 2010

It’s back to raining meerkats and fruitin’ sheepdogs. Behold the view of the parking lot from my office:

Yes, that is my gorgeous mini van (call me a soccer mom and I’ll hit you so hard on the head you’ll have to unzip your fly to see where you’re going) with the bad-ass headlights  to the right, in case you wondered. And it just looks like I parked like a woman because the lines are weird. Promise.

Sounds of silence

Posted by Adrenalynn on august 20, 2010

This place has been quiet while the rest of my life hasn’t. In fact, I feel like I should be whispering right now, if was typing this out loud. Which I’m technically not, but I am hearing the words in my head. Is it weird that the voice in my head sounds nothing like my actual voice?

Real life has finally kicked in again, and of course I’m busy. Everybody’s busy. Being busy is the biggest trend of our time. My kids were sick this week for about half a day, so I stayed home with them and spent the morning wiping vomit off of the couch. How is it that my kids are only sick for a few hours, but when I catch whatever it is they had, I’m wiped out for a good week and a half? Anyway, I actually really enjoyed having the whole day with them, especially because they were so sick that they pretty much spent it on my lap. I’m all set with cuddles for the next year or so.

In other news, the weather is doing that thing where it’s finally warm and periodically dry as soon as everyone’s back from vacation. Gotta love this town.

I hope your weekend is excellent! Do something that makes you happy.

I’m gone

Posted by Adrenalynn on juli 18, 2010

Hello there! I’m in Spain right now, enjoying two weeks of nothing but sun until I return to Rainyville. I’m blissfully internet and TV – less, but I did find me some 3G to ease the withdrawals. Until we meet again, I hope you are having an equally perfect summer, whether you’re on holiday or at home!

Love, Lynn
