And then I died

Posted by Adrenalynn on March 27, 2009

So up until yesterday I really thought having boys would turn out to be better and easier than having girls, you know, for me. I was foolishly thinking that we’d be grateful for having teenage boys in a few years rather than teenage girls- because, ohmigosh, I’ve been one. Hormones and periods and acne and BOYS! and drama and bad hair days and first bras and BOYS! and baad make-up and BOYS! have to be harder to deal with than facial hair and body odor. Plus, I’m the girl so my husband will do the hard stuff. And we have another ten years of easy stuff before anything really awkward kicks in. Or so I thought. Until yesterday, when my eldest son (3 years old) learned a new trick. Oh, the horror:

Spawn: (On the toilet, looking down on his uh, male parts) “Look, mom; I can make it go up and down and up and down and up and…”

Me: (Runs away screaming)
