Random thoughts on a Saturday night that nobody’s going to read anyway because everyone’s too busy having a life.
Posted by Adrenalynn on July 4, 2009
I’m on vacation. The best kind, too; on my couch. I have four days of no work and all relaxing fun ahead of me, and I intend to use it. I might go outside occasionally, you know, to yell at the kids for not sharing their toys.
In my New and Awesome Job™ I get to talk to Swedes a lot on the phone. And those people never fail to charm my socks off. There’s just something about the Swedish language that gets me all giggly. Try sounding professional while you’re twirling your hair between your fingers and grinning like an idiot. I’m so glad video phones never caught on.
I had the pleasure of watching these two awesome people get married this weekend. To other people, not each other – in case you wondered. I love me some weddings, especially the ones I get paid to attend. I’d really love to tell you that I enjoy singing at weddings so much because it’s so wonderful to take part in a couple’s special day and do my best to make the occasion even more special. But you all know I’m too much of an exhibitionist to believe any of that. Plus, those tear-jerking ballads really do it for me. And wearing pretty shoes.
I you enjoyed this post, please consider sharing it or subscribing via RSS or by e-mail to receive free updates. And leave a comment while you're at it. Thank you!

Hi Extreme John; that’s my impression of Swedes as well! They’re so much nicer than Norwegians, I’ll tell you that.
Are you not even getting a few days off? That’s terrible! I’m counting on lasting the rest of the summer with just these three days of rest and fun!

Hi Hesham; it is great fun! Maybe you could take up singing- or maybe juggling, and perhaps the same opportunities will come along for you!

Long live the Swedes! My husband’s genes gave me the most gorgeous little bambino. Yup, I have a huge ego when it comes to my kid. It’s sick.

Hi Kristin; heh, I do that too. Don’t worry, I’m sure it’s normal. And of course your genes had something to do with it as well!

Hi Hicham; That’s true! Imagine people working in customer service or tech support not being able to laugh without the customer seeing it!
